Limitless — the product formerly known as Rewind — bets on capture, not entry: instead of you writing things down, a wearable Pendant, or earlier a Mac screen recorder, listens and transcribes, and an AI assistant answers questions over what it heard. That's a genuinely different model of memory: ambient rather than intentional, and it's a compelling answer for meetings and conversations you'd otherwise forget entirely.

The tradeoff is what gets stored: a transcript, not a structured memory. Ask Limitless's assistant a question and it's doing retrieval over raw text of things you said; MIND does something closer to what you'd do yourself — deciding what actually mattered and connecting it to everything else you've told it, across models, without a recorder running in the background. In practice, people run both: Limitless (or its predecessor Rewind) captures the ambient record, and the decisions, facts and plans that actually mattered get typed or pasted into MIND, where they become part of a memory other AIs can use.
