What must a federal isolation or quarantine order include? Answer in under 100 words. Cite only eCFR (www.ecfr.gov) sources.
Details / How it works
When the Director of the CDC issues a federal order for quarantine, isolation, or conditional release, § 70.12(b) requires that the order:
- Advise the individual that the medical examination will be performed by an authorized and licensed health worker (a provider licensed or otherwise authorized to perform medical examinations in the jurisdiction where the examination occurs); and
- Advise the individual that the examination will be conducted only after prior informed consent (the individual's voluntary agreement after being informed of its nature, purpose, and risks).
The Director must also promptly arrange for the examination to be conducted once required.
